All Matters Painting exists for the people who deserve better. Better workmanship, better communication, and a tradie who treats your home with the care he would his own. We named this business what we did intentionally. Whether it's a full repaint, a garden clean-up, or a small repair, every part of what we do matters. And so does every person we do it for. That's why we are one of the most trusted painters in Canberra.
Hi, I’m Alex, owner-operator of All Matters Painting & Maintenance.
One thing we really focus on at All Matters is what we call “the grey areas”... the little details that often get overlooked or never explicitly discussed.
We believe the difference between an average job and a great job is usually found in those areas.
That’s why we always aim to go the extra mile to make sure things are completed properly, professionally, and with care, not just the parts written on the quote, but the overall finish and experience as a whole.

Alex Montgomery
The Big Boss.
Alex started All Matters Painting and Maintenance in 2024 after a decade in the trade, but if you ask him why he built the business, he won't talk about painting. He'll talk about people. A father of three, Alex genuinely believes that money is a by-product of helping people — not the other way around — and that belief shows up in every job he takes on. When he's not on site he's probably in the garage obsessing over his 3D printer. On the tools every day, on the phone when you call.
Tyler Cudmore
The Right Hand Man.
Tyler has spent the last four and a half years painting and two years before that on metal roofing across Canberra — so when it comes to exteriors, there's not much he hasn't seen. A Canberra local his whole life, Tyler spends his time outside work at the gym, following MMA and boxing, and quietly building his clothing brand DSLY on the side. He also has a cat named Atlas who did not get a say in the name. Hardworking, reliable, and always up for a challenge.
Matthew Misa
The Apprentice.
Matt came to painting with fresh eyes and hit the ground running. What he lacks in years on the tools he makes up for in initiative, attitude, and a willingness to learn that makes him a natural fit on any job. A die-hard Rabbitohs supporter, Matt runs a Depop and flips second-hand clothing in his spare time — which means he and Tyler have more in common than they probably admit. Best mates on and off the job, which makes for a pretty good team.
